CAUAYAN CITY, ISABELA – April 24, 2025 – A vibrant new food experience rolls into town this summer as Goto Mo Ko Food Trailer launches its mobile Filipino culinary adventure, inspired by the Philippines’ most beloved cultural symbol – the jeepney.
The colorful jeepney, originally repurposed from American military jeeps left after World War II, became the backbone of Philippine public transportation and a canvas for Filipino artistic expression. Each vehicle, adorned with vibrant colors, religious iconography, and personalized artwork, tells a unique story of Filipino resilience, creativity, and communal spirit.

Goto Mo Ko Food Trailer captures this same spirit, transforming a traditional food trailer into a rolling homage to Philippine culture. The exterior showcases Goto Mo’ Ko’s Jeepney Mural, a digital artwork collaboration with renowned modern contemporary mural artist Robby Singh. This intricate hand-drawn and wall sticker printed mural is a visual collage that portrays the iconic Butaka, Isabela-The Rice Capital of the Philippines, and the Our Lady of the Pillar Church in Cauayan. The mural, aside from the jeepney, is a focal point of the trailer, creating an immersive cultural experience that celebrates Philippine heritage.

“The jeepney represents Filipino ingenuity and our ability to transform something foreign into something distinctly our own,” explains Perry Sumakote, founder of Goto Mo Ko. “Similarly, our food trailer takes traditional Filipino comfort food and presents it to a new generation while honoring its roots.”

The menu centers around three pillars of Filipino street food – all made with locally-sourced, high-quality ingredients at affordable prices. The signature Goto with Chicken Pastil Flakes (a hearty rice porridge with slow-simmered beef tripe, garlic, and ginger) offers the ultimate Filipino comfort food experience. The savory-sweet Pares combines tender braised beef with star anise-infused sauce served alongside garlic rice. Completing the menu are various Silog meals – featuring perfectly cooked garlic rice paired with farm-fresh eggs and proteins like sweet marinated tapa (beef), savory tocino (pork), or crispy daing na bangus (milkfish).

“We source our ingredients from local farms and Asian markets to ensure authentic flavors while supporting our community,” Sumakote adds. “Our mission is to make traditional Filipino flavors accessible to everyone – both in taste and price.”
Goto Mo Ko will appear at local food festivals, cultural events, and designated locations throughout the region. The trailer also features QR codes linking to educational content about Philippine tourism destinations, history, and cooking techniques.
The food trailer launches with a community celebration on June 12th, Philippine Independence Day featuring traditional Filipino dance performances, cooking demonstrations, and free samples.
